Stages of treatment

  1. First you need to do a computed tomography of the maxillofacial area on the device  Planmeca ProMax 3D.

    The 3D image of the jaw allows you to see not only the anatomical features of the structure of the teeth , but also the condition of the periodontium, bone tissues and maxillary sinuses. All this makes the diagnosis as accurate as possible.
  2. After a complete diagnosis , the implant surgeon will draw up a treatment plan and choose the system of implants that suits you the best. 

    In our center there are implants of the internationally recognized manufacturers like STRAUMANN ( Switzerland ), ANKYLOS ( Germany ), DENTIS (Korea).
  3. Then the patient is waiting for a complete rehabilitation of the oral cavity.

    It is necessary to eliminate all spots of infection on the teeth, because the bacteria can cause infection of the wound and subsequent rejection of the implant.
  4. If the thickness and height of bone tissues do not allow to install the implant of the desired size , then the doctors resort to a bone-plastic operations for its recovery.

    Material for replanting may be autogenic ( taken from the same patient ), but often uses bone material of animals or other origins.
  5. When all the preparatory steps have been successfully completed , the implant is being placed.

    The engraftment occurs within 2-3 months in the lower jaw and in the course of 4-6 months - on top . During this period it is very important to adhere to the advices of the doctor, to maintain thorough hygiene of oral cavity, to monitor the state of your health and to come for examination to the doctor in time.
  6. After healing of the implant the doctor proceeds to the gums’ formation.

    A gums shaper is twisted into the implant to construct the neck of the tooth for an uttermostly natural planting of the crowns. After 10 days, the shaper is unscrewed , and in its place an abutment is installed - the connecting link between the implant and the crown . If necessary, hinhivoplastics are made – the correction of the gums’ form by using flap surgery.
  7. The final stage of restoration of the dentition is the installation of the crown part.

    As a rule, two types of crowns are installed on implants : metal ceramics and metal-free ceramics . From the type of ceramics depends , which abutment is used : titanium or of dioxide zirconium.
